Forensic and human identity testing

We are experienced in those aspects of DNA testing necessary for forensic investigations, private investigations and legal work.

We have in place tried and tested procedures for sample receipt, logging, tracking, laboratory operations and reporting. We work to the quality standard BS EN ISO9001:2000 throughout and we are ISO 17025 accredited for the processing of reference samples. We adhere to all current legislation such as the Human Tissue Act 2006 and abide by the Department of Health’s Voluntary Code of Practice (for genetic testing companies)

DNA isolation and quantitation
DNA profiling ( SGM plus™ and Powerplex™)
Mitochondrial DNA sequencing
Y Line analysis for detection of male DNA
Sample collection and chain of custody

Our standard DNA profiling service has a 5 to 10 day turnaround.

We also offer an accelerated service where it is necessary to meet court dates.

Any number of samples can be processed and we work from any tissue source.

We operate the dadcheck® paternity (and other biological relationship) testing service and are recognised by the Ministry of Justice as an accredited body able to carry out parentage tests directed by the civil courts in England and Wales under section 20 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969.
