Nucleic acid isolation

The basis of all good molecular biology experiments is high quality nucleic acid i.e. DNA or RNA depending on your application. The Geneblitz® DNA preparation service is able to isolate nucleic acids from a wide variety of sources including:

whole blood
buccal swabs
cultured cells and tissues (including FFPE)
microbes
We use a variety of well-documented methods including commercial column-based kits, Chelex® resin and a combination of both manual and automated systems depending on the sample type and volume.
We carefully track your samples through the entire nucleic acid isolation process and provide you with the quality and concentration you require in the format of your choice.
Samples are quantified and checked for quality and integrity before shipment
An aliquotting service and preparation of 1st strand cDNA is also available upon request.
We also offer a sample storage and banking service.
Unless otherwise instructed any residual project-related samples remaining in the facility will be destroyed 3 months from the date of the final report/sample despatch to the client .
